She/he will be responsible for the contribution to the origination and execution of M&A transactions in Italy and internationally and for the participation in the day-to-day life of the department as well as in the recruitment and mentoring of analysts, VIE and interns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare marketing and transaction documents such as client pitches and Information Memorandum;
• prepare corporate profiles including business description, shareholders, key figures, recent developments etc.;
• build complex financial models (discounted cash flows, transaction and trading multiples, merger models, leveraged buy-out models etc.);
• research sectorial, financial and stock market information;
• analyze targets and/or potential buyers;
• contribute to high standards of execution in M&A transactions;
• perform financial analysis work (modeling, valuation etc.);
• managing due diligence including coordination with external parties;
• be involved in analyst and intern recruiting and training.

Requirements:

• University degree with preference for Business Administration or Engineering degrees, with a major in Corporate Finance;
• at least 3 years of experience within M&A or Corporate Finance teams in an established investment bank;
• proven experience in the Energy, Infrastructure and/or Telco sectors will be considered a strong plus;
• excellent knowledge of valuation and modeling techniques, as well as financial theory and accounting;
• knowledge of the Investment Banking sector;
• strong analytical and numerical skills;
• attention to details;
• good communication skills and team spirit;
• self-starter, able to work autonomously;
• good presentation and commercial acumen for contact with clients;
• fluent or bilingual English and Italian (written and oral), other languages will be regarded favorably (European languages).
