Customer Coordinator – Subcontractor Planner

Chaberton Professionals, a division of Chaberton Partners dedicated to the search and selection of Middle and Top Management profiles, is currently looking for a Customer Coordinator & Subcontractor Planner for an important Automotive multinational company in None (TO)

The position will manage customer needs and the planning of subcontractor materials to optimize inventory levels, freight and delivery schedules.

 

Specific Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage customer needs, by providing accurate and timely information to our customers.
  • Update and react to the EDI and non-EDI orders into SAP.
  • Understand and coordinate activities based on customer logistic protocols.
  • Maintain customer portals and consignment stocks.
  • Update prices, check invoices, control debit and credit notes, release origin certificates, create new items.
  • Create subcontractor scheduling - track sheet.
  • Plan and coordinate subcontractor in concert with order bookings and vendor capacity.
  • Optimize subcontractor shipments and inventory levels to ensure production goals are attained.
  • Manage safety stock levels where appropriate.
  • Track subcontractors’ orders from initiation to finished goods. Routinely team with shipping personnel achieving bi- weekly schedules.
  • Share in team-wide collective responsibility to achieve value stream goals: safety, quality, on time, customer service, delivery, and productivity.
  • Support the Materials Manager with information flow addressing both Sales and Manufacturing inquiries.
  • Work with Subcontractors, Customer Service, and Logistics to maintain and update production and deployment plans.
  • Performs inventory cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Work with various departments to resolve production constraints.
  • Act as a link between the Sales Department, Manufacturing and Our Customers.
  • Be a backup for internal production planning and procurement.
  • Enter and monitor purchase orders in the company portal, ensuring data accuracy and adherence to timelines.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure production continuity and resolve any procurement issues.
  • Keep procurement data updated in the company system.

 

Job Qualification Profile:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Computer Skills – Excel / Word / PowerPoint etc …
  • Prior Experience with MRP systems, SAP preferred
  • 3 to 5 Years of Experience in a Related Field
  • Prior Experience Using Automotive Related Systems and Lean Manufacturing
