We are currently supporting one of our clients, Swiss privately-owned company with HQ in Lausanne, to search for a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) based in Lausanne.

Senior Accountant (m/f/d) – 100%


The position:

Our client is a Swiss privately-owned company with headquarter in Lausanne, and a global leader in the medical device industry.

We are currently supporting them in the search for a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) who will join the finance team based in the HQ in Lausanne. Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the person will be instrumental in supporting the company's growth and its strategic initiatives beyond traditional business models.


Main responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Oversee all accounting operations, including AR, AP, bank reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, inventory and trial balance.
  • Reporting: Coordinate the accounting department’s month-end close activities to meet corporate accounting and reporting deadlines. Prepare Financial Statements (BS, IS and CF) for different holdings of the group.
  • Data Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial data management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures, check that controls are carried out by the accounting department in accordance with the internal control system. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including local GAAP.
  • Manage Swiss VAT & Tax submissions for multiple entities.
  • Audit Coordination: Work closely with external auditors to facilitate both interim and year-end audits, including the finalization of financial statements for the group.
  • Process Improvement: Be an active player on implementation of accounting systems and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Take on ad-hoc duties as needed to support the department and company goals. Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to support decision-making processes and business objectives. Mentor accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting best practices.



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field.
  • CPA or Brevet Fédéral de Spécialiste en Finance et Comptabilité is a strong asset
  • Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Strong knowledge in local GAAP is essential.
  • Expertise in tax laws and regulations relevant to Suisse jurisdiction.
  • Experience in coordinating and participating in internal and external audits to verify compliance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Proficiency in accounting software experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft) and Microsoft Excel is advantageous.
  • Language: Fluency in English and French is essential.
  • Experience in working in a fast paced and multicultural corporate environment.


Location: Lausanne, Switzerland (hybrid model with 2 Home-Office per week)
