Main responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including asset and corporate acquisitions, sell-side processes, JV and co-investment structures, and platform deals from origination through to completion.
• Drive deal origination and pipeline development, building and maintaining relationships with developers, sponsors, and advisers across company’s target markets.
• Structure and negotiate transaction documentation, including SPAs, shareholder agreements, and financing arrangements, working closely with legal and finance teams.
• Own financial analysis and valuation, including the development and review of project finance and LBO-style models, returns analysis, and scenario testing.
• Lead due diligence workstreams, coordinating commercial, technical, financial, tax, and legal advisers, and challenging advisors on assumptions and findings.
• Prepare investment committee and board materials, presenting transactions and recommendations to senior decision-makers.
• Manage relationships with equity partners, lenders, and co-investors, supporting capital raising and financing on ad hoc basis.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to the build-out of the M&A function as the platform scales.

What you should bring:

• 5–7 years of M&A experience in the renewable energy sector in Europe, gained within investment banking, corporate / in-house M&A, or private equity / infrastructure funds.
• Demonstrable track record of leading transactions to completion, not solely supporting roles with clear ownership of execution and negotiation.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy assets and technologies solar, wind, and BESS, revenue models (PPAs, merchant, subsidy schemes, BESS revenue stack), and project finance structures.
• Familiarity with European energy markets and the regulatory environment is essential, experience in Central and Eastern Europe is an advantage.
