We are exclusively recruiting for our client, a fast-growing Med-Tech company based in Geneva that is scaling up to reach over 60 markets worldwide. We are seeking a seasoned Group FP&A Director to take on a pivotal global role in this newly created position.

As the company embarks on this ambitious expansion, the Group FP&A Director will be instrumental in strengthening the FP&A function. This role will serve as a true business partner to various teams, acting as a strategic thinker who leads and builds a high-performing FP&A function. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of performance optimization and drive the company's financial success.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting & Analysis: Establish and analyze Group Financial Reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the preparation of the 5-year Business Plan, annual Budget, and Forecast.
  • Leadership: Manage and develop a team, fostering their growth and performance.
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to finance teams across various legal entities, supporting them as needed.
  • Controlling Functions: Oversee controlling for HQ, corporate functions, manufacturing, operations, and business units across different markets.
  • Optimization & Best Practices: Set-up, coordinate and enhance reporting processes, develop analysis tools, and promote efficiency and strategic change.
  • Financial Support: Provide support to the EVP Finance on various projects including insurance management, transfer pricing, cash management, and more.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead or participate in the implementation of new reporting tools and other group-wide initiatives.

 

Main Activities:
  • Prepare consolidated business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Challenge and present detailed budgets by business unit/central functions.
  • Prepare monthly group reporting for the Board of Directors.
  • Measure and analyze business performance using KPIs and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to support the monthly close process (IFRS)
  • Define and maintain cost accounting principles and create a controlling manual.

 

Professional Expertise:
  • Education: Master’s degree in finance and controlling. Swiss Certified Expert in Accounting and Controlling is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 10 years in controlling, ideally in a managerial role within the medical devices industry, FMCG or significant experience with an international firm.
  • Languages: Fluent in French and English; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
  • Software Skills: ERP Knowledge of D365 is a plus. CPM tools (e.g., Lucanet), and Power BI.
  • Personal Attributes: Entrepreneurial mindset, strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, proactivity, and a strategic vision. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage responsibilities independently. Willingness to assist where needed and travel international if needed.
