Introduzione

Chaberton Partners is currently partnering with PropHero in the search for a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).

Descrizione della posizione

Chief Revenue Officer

Scale to €200M revenue, expand internationally, and lead the property tech revolution

Preferably Madrid or Valencia based · Full-time · Reports to the CEO · Member of the Leadership Team

The opportunity

PropHero is the AI-powered real estate wealth management platform. We connect individuals, HNWIs and institutions to residential, commercial and club-deal assets, with advisory, financing, renovation and rental management in one place. Founded by McKinsey alumni and successful entrepreneurs, and backed by global VCs.

The model is proven, with Spain established and growing. The first milestones are behind us and the business is consolidated — functioning commercial teams, a working funnel and real revenue. What comes next is the milestone that changes the shape of the company: from €50M to €200M.

We study how the best B2C engines in Europe operate — companies like Revolut that have mastered acquisition and retention — and we're applying those lessons to property wealth.

We are looking for a Chief Revenue Officer to help us take PropHero to the next level: sustaining operations and growth in our local markets while opening new ones internationally, strengthening our product portfolio, and scaling our B2C engine so that it holds up at four times the volume.

You will report directly to our CEO, sit on the Leadership Team alongside our COO, CTPO and Chief of Staff, and own the revenue line of the company.

Your mission

Lead PropHero’s revenue organisation through its next milestone — from €50M to €200M. That requires three things at once: sustaining operations and growth in our local markets, opening new ones internationally, and continuing to strengthen our product portfolio.

Growth in our local markets is the base the plan rests on, and it cannot slow while attention moves to new territory. The upside comes from how quickly a new country reaches meaningful revenue, and how efficiently we convert demand into engaged clients at scale.

What you will own

1. Local markets and product portfolio

• Sustain operations and growth in our local markets. The plan assumes they keep compounding while we open new ones; protecting that is as much a part of the mandate as the expansion itself.

• Keep the local commercial teams performing as the organisation’s attention widens, with clear targets and accountability per market.

• Continue to strengthen our product portfolio — broadening what we can offer in every market, across new investment products and adjacent services, so that growth does not rest on client acquisition alone.

• Drive repeat investment and referral within our existing client base. In property investment, the second purchase is where the unit economics improve materially.

2. Scaling the B2C engine

• Own the full B2C funnel end to end — from paid and organic acquisition through to the closed investment — and the CAC, conversion and payback that go with it.

• Take our performance marketing from a channel function to a genuine growth engine: paid media, SEO, content, lifecycle, CRO and referral, all measured against contribution margin rather than leads.

• Sharpen the sales motion so a new market can pick it up and run it in weeks, not quarters — qualification, training, ramp curves and quota design.

• Build community and thought leadership through YouTube, events and content — making community a core acquisition channel alongside paid media.

3. The revenue organisation

You inherit a commercial organisation of more than 60 people across Spain, Latin America, Australia and Indonesia. The exact reporting structure will keep evolving with the business, but the revenue function today spans four areas:

• Sales — the closing engine, covering property specialists, SDRs and sales representatives.

• New business — new countries and new products.

• Marketing — the full funnel: acquisition, CRM, communications and brand.

• Revenue operations — the machinery that makes the sales chain run, plus the business analysis behind it.

You will need to grow this into the organisation a €200M business needs: hire above yourself where necessary, develop the people who can make the step up, and address the parts of the structure that will not scale.

4. Revenue operations and commercial rigour

• Own the revenue forecast the Board sees, and the model behind it.

• Make unit economics visible by market, channel and cohort — so that capital goes where the return actually is.

• Build the operating cadence: weekly pipeline, monthly business reviews, quarterly OKRs, and the commercial dashboards that make all of it self-serve.

• Work closely with our CTPO so that product and data investment follows revenue impact.

• Assess and implement AI tools that make the revenue engine and the customer experience more efficient — from lead scoring and lifecycle automation to internal reporting and service quality.

5. International expansion

• Own execution once a new market is chosen — the go-to-market thesis, the launch sequence and the P&L for each new country — working closely with the CEO and Leadership Team on market sizing and prioritisation.

• Make every market entry faster and more efficient than the last, by codifying what already works instead of rebuilding it market by market.

• Bring the commercial read on where we go next. Market sizing and prioritisation is a Leadership Team call, but your read on the opportunity — and on what a market needs to succeed — shapes it.

• Build the local commercial teams and partnerships in each new market, and hand them a structure that can run without you.

What success looks like

First 6 months

• You know our funnel and unit economics better than anyone in the company, and you have named the two or three constraints that matter most.

• The revenue org is structured and staffed for the next phase, with clear ownership and targets per market.

• A credible, bottom-up path from €50M to €200M exists — with the investment, headcount and market sequence it requires.

12 to 18 months

• B2C acquisition is scaling with CAC and payback holding or improving, not degrading.

• Growth in our local markets has held or improved, rather than slowing while attention moved to new territory.

• At least one new market is launched and contributing revenue, and the second launch runs on a visibly more efficient model than the first.

• Forecast accuracy is good enough that the Board plans around it.

The mandate

• €200M in revenue, with the commercial organisation and the multi-country footprint to sustain it.

What will make you succeed with us

• You have scaled a B2C business through a step change in revenue — ideally something in the range of €50M to €200M, or a comparable multiple. You have lived through what breaks at each stage.

• You have identified and implemented AI tools that measurably improved internal process efficiency and the customer experience — for us this is core to how the commercial engine competes, not a side initiative.

• You have launched countries, not just managed them. You have taken a commercial model into a new market from zero and made it work, and you know how much of a playbook actually transfers.

• You are equally credible in marketing and in sales. A CRO who commands only one half of this funnel cannot fix the other.

• You are genuinely numerate about unit economics. CAC, LTV, payback, contribution margin and cohort behaviour are the terms you reason in, not metrics you delegate.

• You have led commercial organisations of this size or larger, and built the layer beneath you. You have hired heads of function who went on to outgrow the brief you hired them for.

• You are structured and process-driven — consulting or a similarly rigorous environment early in your career shows in how you break a problem down.

• Fluent English and Spanish. English is our operating language across a globally distributed team; Spanish matters for our largest market and much of the team.

• You are comfortable with ambiguity and speed. We change direction quickly when the data calls for it.

• You want the accountability. This role carries the revenue number and answers for it at Board level.

It will be a plus if you

• Have integrated commercial networks following an acquisition. Part of our expansion may come inorganically, and folding an acquired sales force into a single operating model is a rare skill.

• Have worked in proptech, fintech, marketplaces or another considered high-ticket B2C purchase.

• Have exposure to B2B or institutional sales motions — useful context, though most of the near-term opportunity is in scaling our retail/B2C channel.

• Have scaled Marketing & Sales with AI — this is the frontier of the function, and we want someone who's already thinking this way.

• Have scaled a business through a Series B or C, or into one.

• Have invested in property yourself, or intend to.

What PropHero offers

• A Leadership Team seat with a genuine mandate. You report to the Founder & CEO and own the revenue line of the company.

• Competitive economic package. Offering ESOP as part of your package.

• An established platform to build on. You inherit a proven model and a functioning commercial organisation. The mandate is to multiply it, not to prove it.

• Flexibility with presence. We work remotely and with OKRs, but this role is anchored in Barcelona or Madrid, close to the founder and the team.

• An honest, transparent and ambitious environment. Direct feedback, shared ownership, and a team committed to reinventing the property investment industry.
