We are currently supporting one of our clients, large investment / holding company based in Zurich, in the search for a Finance & Tax Manager.

Finance & Tax Manager (m/f/d)

 

The position:

Our client is a professional investment firm based in Zurich with a further office in Europe. Their approach is characterized by a proactive investment strategy, mostly in controlling private equity investments.

 

We are currently supporting them in the search for a Finance & Tax Manager who will join their team in Zurich. This is a key financial management role responsible for overseeing and managing statutory and Group financial activities, and with a strong understanding of Swiss financial regulations, tax laws, and business practices.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Stay up to date with the Swiss tax regulations and ensure compliance with the Swiss tax laws and practices.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of all required tax filings.
  • Prepare annual reporting for the Company/Group in accordance with the IFRS.
  • Work with auditors to facilitate the annual audit process to meet group requirements and local statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors to optimize the company's tax position.
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with the Swiss operations.
  • Be the owner of the legal entity’s risk control matrix (RCM) and ensure RCM is updated in a timely manner with process owners and control owners.
  • Financial controller activities for UK based management company.
  • Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the project to change the accounting software.
  • Collaborate with other departments to prepare the annual budget, provide financial insights, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Support with management reporting based on Power BI in close collaboration with the portfolio companies.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management.

 

Requirements:

Skills:

  • Degree in Finance or accounting, relevant professional certifications (such as CPA or ACCA, etc.)
  • 8-10 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, extensive experience in tax, corporate finance, etc.
  • Deep understanding of the Swiss financial and tax landscape.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Fluent command of English in a business setting, any other language would be an asset.

  • Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and communicate these to a wider, non-financial audience.

 

Location: Zurich (hybrid model)
